What Vendors Need to Know About The Knot Reviews

If you’re in the wedding business as a supplier, you have likely heard of The Knot reviews. As one of the largest online resources for wedding news, trends, information, and inspiration, TheKnot.com helps its users plan the perfect wedding.

The website was founded by husband-and-wife team Carley Roney and David Liu, who said that better resources would have made planning their own nuptials a lot less stressful.

As couples all around the world face rapidly evolving scenarios, making the right decisions and navigating the wedding marketplace may prove to be challenging for many. This makes the Knot for vendors a key platform for your business to stand out and attract the attention of engaged couples.

The Knot also helps users find and connect with local vendors for their wedding, including:

With The Knot reviews, vendors and providers are rated based on the opinions and experiences of other customers.

Signing up for The Knot and joining their wedding network can add plenty of value to your business. The first step is to join WeddingPro, an advertising platform that connects wedding suppliers and vendors to The Knot’s 13+ million monthly visitors.

Signing up brings your business to the forefront on The Knot (and its sister site WeddingWire), while enabling you to create a personal portfolio or storefront for making the best first impression and showcasing your work. As a member of WeddingPro, you’ll also be able to tap into a wide network of professionals and build connections that help grow your business.

The Knot.com Reviews: Best Practices

Online reviews of your business on The Knot can make or break your business reputation. According to customer reviews research, negative reviews convince 94% of consumers to avoid a business. This makes it crucial for suppliers and vendors to regularly access the Knot dashboard for vendors and reviews left by their customers.

Brides, grooms, and users who helped plan a wedding can share their ratings and opinion by writing a review of their wedding vendor. Here’s what the form looks like on The Knot’s website:

Throughout the wedding planning process, The Knot also reminds couples and users of the importance of reviews. This helps consumers discover the most highly-rated wedding vendors and local businesses get more leads. Reviews of your business will be displayed on your storefront or listing.

Ask Customers for Feedback

After you complete a job, don’t hesitate to ask customers for reviews. Be sure to include a link to where they can leave a review on The Knot.

By gaining as many reviews from brides and grooms as possible, you can also get the chance to be recognized through the Best of Weddings awards, which feature the top vendors based on The Knot reviews and ratings.

Use Feedback to Improve

Whenever a new review is posted, The Knot will automatically send you an email containing a portion of the review and the star rating. Keep an eye out for these notifications in your inbox and be sure to use customer feedback in order to identify areas of improvement and opportunity for your business.

By acting on the reviews and addressing challenges based on the information available, you can help create even more special wedding experiences and position your business to succeed on the Knot.

Respond to Reviews

Joining WeddingPro gives you the ability to respond to reviews using The Knot dashboard. Each review will have a “Respond” option, and a preview of your response will be displayed alongside the review. You’re also able to edit your response or comment or delete it at any time.

By learning how to respond to negative reviews, you can signal to future clients that your business actively listens to customers, cares about their feedback, and addresses their issues.

The Knot also allows vendors to respond to reviews posted on the site’s message boards. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to do just that:

  • If you see a post you’d like to respond to as a vendor, draft your review response and make sure it doesn’t violate any of the community’s terms of use and content guidelines.
  • Send your response to TheKnot review, along with the URL of the post, the name of the board, and original poster and date, to [email protected].
  • The site will review and, if it’s approved, post your response. No need to post the response yourself; otherwise, the Knot will have to remove it.

Display the Best Reviews on Your Website and Storefront

Promoting and marketing reviews on your website lets you create powerful social proof that can influence future customers. To display reviews from the Knot on your website, follow these steps:

  • On The Knot dashboard, click the “For Your Website” tab.
  • You’ll be taken to a page where you can copy and paste the HTML code for the “Couples Love Us” badge into your website.

  • All other reviews will appear after your selected top three reviews, in chronological order (newest to oldest).
