Three awards, three brands prioritizing customer experience

No matter the industry, investing in digital experience can make an organization’s touchpoints more meaningful for their audiences. The term “customer experience” is growing in popularity, reflecting a huge market shift of brands committing to create memorable, meaningful experiences that build relationships with their audiences.

According to Google Trends, two sectors, healthcare and non-profit, are also prioritizing digital experience–although they may call it “patient experience” or “member experience” instead.

This fall, Hero Digital was honored with three leading industry awards celebrating digital experience work across the healthcare and nonprofit sectors.

2019 eHealthcare Leadership Awards

The eHealthcare Leadership awards draws some 1,000 entries and exclusively recognizes the very best websites and digital communications of healthcare organizations.

Best Site Design (Platinum), Spaulding Rehabilitation Network

One of Spaulding Rehabilitation Network’s top priorities for their website redesign was accessibility, ensuring that patients with a variety of physical abilities could easily get healthcare information through various assistive technology as well as traditional site navigation. But we also set out together to prove to the healthcare industry that accessible design doesn’t have to be primitive or unattractive.

Best Online Appointment Scheduling (Distinction), Universal Health Services

Raising the industry bar was also a priority for our client Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS). For patients, the ability to schedule an appointment online can be the deciding factor between two providers, and we helped UHS simplify the process to find a doctor and book a time slot. The self-service tools and patient-first resources now available on UHS’s hospital websites are industry-leading.

Acquia Engage Awards

The Acquia Engage Awards recognizes the world-class digital experiences that organizations are building with the Acquia Platform.

Leader of the Pack: Nonprofit/NGO, Lions Clubs International

To inspire the next generation of member volunteers and chapter leaders, we helped Lions Clubs International (LCI) with a digital transformation of their 100-year-old service organization. The new experience established a new Resource Hub, rich content to tell service stories, and support for full translation into 12 languages, helping LCI’s audiences engage more deeply with their Lions communities.
