Pride in recognition
One of our latest recognitions comes from Asia where the accolade of “Best Companies to Work For in Asia 2021 (Malaysia Edition)” was presented to our Penang Center of Excellence by HR Asia.
HR Asia’s “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021” is a recognition program that ascertains Asia’s employers of choice through feedback from their employees. The program includes companies across Asia and recognizes those with the best HR practices, highest levels of colleague engagement and excellent workplace cultures.
“We are honored to be awarded with such prestigious recognition within one and a half years of our presence in Malaysia. This is a true reflection of our success where People, Process and Technology are brought together to deliver the best experience for our colleagues and customers, making us as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia,” said Shankar Nagalingam, Vice President, Penang Center of Excellence, Clarivate. “There were more than 250 companies that participated in this year’s award. We are so proud!”
Increasing footprint in Malaysia
Malaysia is home to the Clarivate Center of Excellence (CoE) in Penang that opened in early 2021, providing sales and support to global customers. Led by Shankar Nagalingam, it’s one of four Clarivate CoEs that deliver world-class services, with the others based in Chandler, U.S., in Belgrade, Serbia and in India.
The Penang CoE has garnered numerous other employer awards as well, including recent recognition as a Graduan’s Most Preferred Employer in the Data Analytics industry as well as the OM GBS Asia Award for Best New GBS Provider and Operational Excellence in Human Resources, alongside a series of GBS Asia recognitions for individual Penang CoE leaders.
“We have more than 200 new colleagues based out of our new permanent workspace in Penang,” Shankar said last month. “We are planning to increase our footprint further in Malaysia and will be hiring another 150-200 colleagues over the next 12 months.”
